Unspoken Comforts

The car ride was silent, the only sounds coming from the soft hum of the engine and Nisha’s quiet breaths. Aarav stole glances at her from time to time, his heart aching with a mix of love and worry. She sat beside him, eyes distant, staring blankly out the window, lost somewhere he couldn’t reach. Her face, once so full of warmth and laughter, now looked pale, shadowed by sorrow and disbelief.

Aarav’s hands tightened on the steering wheel as he thought about everything that had happened. He hated seeing her like this, so broken and vulnerable. In all the years they had known each other, he’d never seen her like this. And yet, he knew it was necessary; she needed to see the truth, however painful it might be.
